Gerard Kennedy on RDI: Horrible French.

Just finished watching Gerald Kennedy being interviewed on "Coulisses du pouvoir" (repeated later today at 6PM Eastern on RDI).

His French is horrible. In the words of his Quebec campaign chair, Bernard Patry, "he's better than Mr. (Stephen) Harper was five years ago."

That's not good!

Maybe some other time, Mr. Kennedy, maybe.

In comparison, Ignatieff on the same show sounded, in irreprochable French, like a Prime Minister of Canada. More importantly, he said the magic words: "Nous devons arrêter l'ingérance du gouvernement fédéral dans les dossiers de juridiction provinciale". We must stop the Federal Government from intervening in provincial jurisdictions.

A post that is critical of Gerard Kennedy?!

    Shocking!

Get some professional help dude. You have lost it.

I hope you or the Iggy camp never need a favour from any Kennedy supporters.

This is not helping the Liberal Party at all. People like you do the Conservatives' work. Don't think for a moment that the Conservatives are not taking notes of all those things. They will use it against whoever is elected Liberal leader.

People like you will have to accept responsibility should the Liberal Party implode as a result. All I can say is, shame on you.

I agree with anonymous - you need help, serious help.

    What is wrong with you?

"Don't think for a moment that the Conservatives are not taking notes of all those things." (Werner Patels).

Do you think I'm some sort of evil genious? That Kennedy's lack of education or French abilities would somehow remain a secret without me? Good grief. You guys are in a cult.

It's not the information, but the tone with which it is delivered. You are a nutjob and I have already forwarded your articles to the Iggy campaign, so that they can distance themselves from you and your kind.

You are certainly a "genious", but not a "genius". You should learn how to spell before you attack others for your perceived lack of education. Clearly, Kennedy is a lot more educated than you are.

Let's keep it civil. Just because I don't want Kennedy as Liberal leader doesn't make me a "nutjob".

Then set an example and keep it civil yourself. You started throwing mud, so don't complain if more reasonable (and more educated) people than you start throwing some back.

Werner, I have a blog, I'm not trying to be leader of the freeking country.

    Altavistagoogle said...

Werner, calling me a "nutjob" does not make you "more reasonable".

"freeking country"? You are such a great speller and soooooooooo educated, aren't you?

    Altavistagoogle said...

Yes, Warner, I'm a lousy speller in English and French despite having a degree from Université de Montréal. You got me.

Is that the best you can come up with to defend Gerard Kennedy?

I wouldnt worry about it Werner. People who never took Gerard seriously before are starting to notice him and (for the most part) like what they see.

Obviously "Altavistagoogle" is having a hard time accepting that, but people will warm up to Gerard regardless of what some blogger thinks.

despite having a degree from Université de Montréal.

Proof positive that a degree doesnt make someone smart.

I just watched the interview and there's a marked improvement. I certainly wouldn't call his french horrible.
